Wendy Snyder
Bitter Jester Music Festival Judge
Wendy Snyder has called the Chicago area home her entire life. Born and raised in the western suburb of Brookfield, Wendy started her broadcasting career at the legendary LOOP FM (WLUP 97.9) during its heyday and was an on-air favorite from the late-80s through the 90s.
Following successful runs at Q101 (WKQX FM), 105.9 WCKG FM, and WGN 720 AM, Wendy has returned to WLS-AM 890, where she was a member of the "Don Wade and Roma" morning show from 2006-2013.
Wendy is an award-winning broadcaster who has won The Illinois Broadcasting Association’s Silver Dome Award and The March of Dimes’ Air Award. She is also the recipient of The Joint Civic Committee of Italian Americans’ Impresa Award.
Wendy and her husband Jimmy Mac McInerney have two sons, Michael and Dylan. And even Kona the Dog is a boy, just to add more testosterone to Wendy’s life. Staying true to Wendy's west suburban roots, she has made La Grange, IL, her home for the past 25 years.
“I had heard of the Bitter Jester Music Fest for years and years and I'm excited to finally be a part of it as a judge! They do a great job and I can’t wait to hear all the bands.”
