Jessica Dangelmaier

Bitter Jester Music Festival Judge

Jessica Dangelmaier is a DJ for CHIRP Radio, 107.1 FM in Chicago, IL. She hosts a weekly show 12-3pm on Wednesdays (JDANG, “Playing what you didn't know you wanted to hear”) and has been with CHIRP since 2017. Jessica also contributes to the station by writing music reviews and working with the promotions department to coordinate and promote shows with local venues. She has DJed at local events throughout town at bars and festivals in the city.

Jessica first began working in radio while she was in high school and volunteered at Emerson College Radio while attempting to pursue a career in film. After several pivots, she became immersed in radio in 2007 while attending Florida State University. She DJed a regular show for years, has written hundreds of music reviews, and also served as the Promotions Director for the station.

In 2017, Jessica moved to Chicago to pursue a degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Rush University and now works as a Physician Assistant at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab working on the Nerve, Muscle, and Bone team.

She is thrilled to be joining the Bitter Jester Music Festival for the first time in 2021!
