Bitter Jester Music Festival Judge

Hunter Sphar is a Co-Owner and Audio Engineer at Gremlen Recording Studios in Aurora, IL, and the Bassist for a Chicago-based band called ‘Chocolate In Your Pocket.’

Additionally, Hunter holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Millikin University, having majored in Commercial Music with an emphasis in Audio Engineering and Bass Performance. 

Since joining the Engineering team at Gremlen, he has been honing his production skills and is excited to help artists find their unique sound. Hunter is available for recording, mixing/mastering sessions, on-location recordings, private bass lessons, music theory tutoring, and also bass session work.

As a member of Chocolate In Your Pocket, Hunter has competed in various local battles of the bands with little to no substantive feedback provided. He knows what that feels like and has been immensely impressed learning about the level of detail that Bitter Jester provides up-and-coming performers.

BJMF fosters an environment focused on community and networking and, most importantly, provides performers with high quality critical feedback to help them grow as musicians and as people. Hunter is thrilled to be joining one of this summer’s adjudication teams for the Bitter Jester Music Festival!
