Chloe Weidl
Bitter Jester Music Festival Judge
Born and raised in Saint Charles, Illinois, Chloe Weidl has been involved with music since she was a child. She sang in competition choir in middle school and joined the marching band in high school, where she fell in love with percussion.
She began taking drum lessons at the age of sixteen through School of Rock Geneva, giving her the chance to play at dozens of venues and meet wonderful musicians the same age as her. In 2018, her band Watchtower made it to the final round of Suburban Chicago's Got Talent, and that same summer, she performed at Summerfest and The Rave/Eagles Club with the School of Rock House Band.
“This will be my first time attending the festival and I'm very excited to see what it's all about!”
- Chloe Weidl
She graduated from University of Iowa in 2023 with a BA in Communication Studies. Though she did not formally study music in school, she was a part of several bands that played at popular local venues. When she wasn't studying, Chloe was teaching drums and directing the adult student performance program at School of Rock Cedar Rapids/Marion.
She currently lives in Cedar Rapids, IA, where she continues to teach and perform, making a living as a music teacher and actively gigging around Iowa and elsewhere.
In addition to drumming, Chloe loves staying active. In her free time, she enjoys weight lifting, rock climbing, and hiking. She takes every chance she gets to visit friends and explore State and National Parks around the country!
