Chase Albrecht
Bitter Jester Music Festival Judge
2017 Bitter Jester Grand Champion
Chase Albrecht began playing guitar at the age of ten. Being mostly self-taught up until his admittance to Rock Central Music School in 2011, Chase specialized in heavy metal and progressive music. Since then, he has performed in The Headless Tenspeeders (a band in which he had the opportunity to share the stage with his biggest musical influence: his father), and Audiophilia, a band consisting of fellow Rock Central students who went on to play venues such as Summerfest and Vans Warped Tour as well as win numerous awards including the Bitter Jester Grand Championship in 2017.
“As a competitor, I was completely blown away by the level of talent that Bitter Jester attracted. I had the opportunity to perform two years in a row and can confidently say that participating in this festival remains one of the top highlight moments of my musical career.”
- Chase Albrecht
In 2015, Chase began a career as a teacher at Rock Central where he gives one-on-one guitar lessons to students of all ages and all skill levels. He also provides group instruction to those who wish to perform as a band.
Aside from teaching, Chase currently performs in the acoustic duo Chinsey (with Bitter Jester Education Team member and fellow Audiophilia bandmate Lindsey Hayes) and studies electrical engineering at the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
“Since competing, I have visited the festival as an audience member and have seen how the event continues to grow. Bitter Jester works hard to create the best possible experience for their competitors. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and emphasis on helping young musicians attain a healthy career in music is unlike anything else I’ve witnessed.”
- Chase Albrecht
Chase always seeks to advance his musical career and musical experience in any capacity. He enjoys offering his knowledge to new musicians who share the same passion for playing and is excited to return to Bitter Jester as a judge and watch the next generation of talent cross its stages!
